This Collections Notice is provided in accordance with Australian Privacy Principle 5 (APP 5) of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It explains what happens when you provide personal and health information to Medusa Health Care Pty Ltd, trading as Bowel Diagnostics ("we", "us"), through our online booking system at www.boweldoctors.com.au.

What we collect and why
When you make a booking, complete a referral or pre-procedure questionnaire, or otherwise use our online booking system, we collect personal information (such as your name and contact details) and health information (such as your medical history, current medications, allergies, and details relevant to your procedure) in order to:
Process and manage your booking;
Enable our Practitioners to safely assess, prepare for, and deliver your diagnostic procedure;
Communicate with you about appointment times, preparation instructions, and results;
Process payments and any applicable Medicare or health fund claims;
Meet our clinical governance, record-keeping, and legal obligations.
What happens if you don't provide this information
If you do not provide the requested information, we, or your treating Practitioner, may not be able to process your booking, confirm your referral, or safely proceed with your procedure. Incomplete health information (e.g. undisclosed medications or allergies) may affect the safety of your care.
Who we may disclose your information to
We may disclose your information to MediRecords, our clinical management system, where your patient information is stored and managed by your Practitioners via secure API. We may also disclose your information to your referring practitioner, other treating practitioners involved in your care, pathology/diagnostic service providers, Medicare or your private health fund, and our IT/payment service providers — as described in our Privacy Policy.
Personalised content and service updates
Where you separately opt in during the booking process, we may also use your information to provide personalised health content, appointment reminders, or service updates. This is optional and separate from the information required to process your booking. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.
